From blog.moviefone.com:
Yes, according to Entertainment Weekly, Andie MacDowell has signed on to co-star in the upcoming remake of the 1984 song and dance celebration ‘Footloose.’ MacDowell will be playing the role of Vi, wife of the rock music hating Reverend Shaw Moore, who will be played this time around by Dennis Quaid.
The original ‘Footloose,’ you may recall, helped spark a mini dance revolution of its own in Hollywood thanks in part to performances by Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer as repressed teens looking to cut a rug in a town where rug cutting has been strictly forbidden by the town’s grumpy pastor. This time around those roles will be played by relative unknowns Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough, meaning MacDowell’s addition (in a role originally played by Diane Wiest) should help provide a veteran foundation for the production.
I think MacDowell should take this opportunity to sign up for the next edition of Dancing with the Stars. Somebody start a petition.

Andie is a surprise a minute.
Yay! She got a job … maybe she won't be such a $#*!! now
I'll watch it cause I like Andie, but it's gonna be hard to beat the first one.
Maybe she can finally start paying off many of the debts that she has not paid to workers in WNC.
