Anatomy of a gut-bucket

This dude played at this year’s Shindig on the Green, a member of the Sweet Tater Band. We wanted to be sure you saw what a real mountain musician and his instrument looked like.

Note the silver beard. The slightly worn overalls. The hat.

Also note the handle of the homemade bass – it’s a musket, probably left over from the Civil War. The base, which you can’t see, is an old wash bucket.

All perfect.
