City Market in Hendersonville opens, featuring locally grown produce

The City Market is now open in Hendersonville on Asheville Highway. The market offers fresh produce and other products grown or made within a 90-mile radius.

From Blue Ridge Now:

City Market carries 236 products, and 98 are from Henderson County alone.

“We don’t just talk about local; we are local. We grow most of the produce we sell,” Bobby Rogers said. “We utilize local agriculture from start to finish.”

They bring in fresh items daily from their 6-acre farm at Greys Reach Farms in the Crab Creek valley. The farm is a partner of the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project, which encourages local farmers to connect with local markets.
