The Miami Herald has the report, written by 10-year-old Julian Brown:
When I went to North Carolina, I learned that it was full of adventure! We journeyed through the forest by car along the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville to Blowing Rock.
Along the way we took a tour in a big underground cave, Linville Caverns, and as we walked deeper into the dark cave the tour guide pointed out that the fish in the pond were blind!
We did so many exciting things on our trip like white-water rafting and visiting the Mast General Store (built in 1883), where I got tons of candy from a room filled with candy barrels! At Grandfather Mountain we walked across a mile-high swinging bridge and I even fed black bears at the wildlife sanctuary.
If you go to North Carolina, I hope you have as much fun as I did!

oops…typo. That was supposed to say "so many" not "to many"
Heheh..You can almost hear his excitement. Unfortunately, it won’t be long before a high-school English teacher tells him to stop using to many exclamation points! 🙁
