Aloft Hotel opens tonight, brings breakfast bar, bar and new restaurant to downtown

The Aloft opens today, bringing not just 404 new parking spaces, but a bar, a lounge, a breakfast bar and  a relocated restaurant, The Blackbird.

W xyz and re:remix lounge

From the Aloft website:

Strawberry balsamic martini, Southern peach julep and Thai lemonade are just three of the unique, handcrafted cocktails available at W xyz bar, muddled by your in-house mixologist. W xyz bar also serves a varied and seasonal beer selection, including microbrews and favorites from local breweries. The list is ever changing, but a few must-try breweries are: Asheville Brewing Company, Highland Brewing Company, French Broad Brewery. W xyz also offers an extensive wine list, with more than 40 hand-selected varietals to choose from by the glass and by the bottle.

Looking for nighttime nosh? Sample straight from the snack attack menu, starring small plates like the fromage tasting plate, crisp flat breads and a fancy grilled cheese for grown-ups. Embrace your inner sweet tooth with our crème brulee.

Re:mix lounge is connected to W xyz bar, with free Wi-Fi, pool table and local art gallery.

Open 7 days a week. Hours: 5pm to 12am, Sunday though Thursday, 3pm to 2am, Friday & Saturday

Our in-house breakfast bar offers made-to-order meals, including fresh & quick options and artisanal breakfast panini sandwiches. Dine in or grab on the go. Don’t forget something to sip courtesy of our in-house Starbucks coffee, serving up all of your favorites hot or iced.

Not ready to roll out yet? Have your delish delivered directly to your door with breakfast room service. And we didn’t forget about you plant eaters… vegan and vegetarian options are available on all Aloft Asheville menus.

The Blackbird

As Jason reported previously, the Blackbird is relocating from Black Mountain to downtown Asheville, on the first floor of the Aloft. It will be open for lunch and dinner. No word yet on when it’s opening.
