October  24 – 25 at Asheville Brewing Company

Climb. Ride. Slide. Fly. Fight For Your Environment. Inspire. Go Higher Than You’ve Ever Dared To Go. Journey into the imagination.

Welcome to Adventure Film’s newest festival, in Asheville, North Carolina.

Celebrate the gift of life at the second annual Adventure Film Festival premiere October 24-25, 2012 in Asheville, North Carolina. Through the craftsmanship of award winning filmmakers, extreme athletes, and adventurers, experience the synthesis of sky, wind, earth, water and fire in nature’s most mysterious and enchanting kingdoms. Fulfill your dream of dropping down the steepest and wildest mountains in the world. Absorb the radiance of Alaska’s blue ice caves. Get a grip on two studded fat bike tires, blasting down snow-covered trails. Align all that you’ve learned paddling through secret and intimate tributaries in the Utah desert. Follow your unicorn fantasy into deep fluffy powder snow. Climb beyond your limitations to stand where no one has before. Grab hold of your life and make your own legends.

Sponsored by Patagonia, this two-day festival premieres a powerful collection of 20 insightful and award-winning outdoor and environmental films that share the spirit of adventure. Adventure Film’s compelling line-up was handpicked by a dedicated, Boulder based selection committee from over 400 entries submitted from 15 different countries. With the support of filmmakers, sponsors, non-profits, partners, volunteers—all adventurers—Adventure Film Festival will feature the 2012 award winners on a World Tour that reached 26,000 people last year in several major US cities, France, Chile, Australia, Vienna, Belgium, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Nepal.
