WLOS reports that Iwanna is shutting down its printing press and cutting 24 jobs associated with the operation of the old press. The weekly newspaper, which is full of classified ads, will be printed out of Fayetteville starting in coming weeks. The closure of th press is also a blow to schools and nonprofit organizations, who have turned to the Iwanna to print small jobs, WLOS reports.

I wonder if the Hendersonville Times-News is also bemoaning their similar decision.

I wonder if the A.C.T. is bemoaning the scrapping of their press and the lost potential profits.

Iwanna has printed the Montford Park Players’ playbills for many years. I also wonder how this will impact the small print contracts.
