Loyal reader Russ reports that he’s secured a new downtown location for his Second Gear outdoor gear consignment store. Earlier this year, Second Gear expanded its West Asheville store.

Hey Jason,

Here’s a quick follow-up to this previous email re: Second Gear’s upcoming downtown location:

Second Gear has entered a lease agreement for the front portion (approx 1,800 sf) of the former Kostas clothing store at 35 Battery Park Avenue, just across the street from the Grove Arcade.  We take possession of the space January 1^st and are anticipating opening near the end of February after completing renovations.
