As you all know, I’ve been consumed the last week or so with the Day in the Life of Asheville community photo project. It’s been a roaring success, with more than 50 local photographers submitting photos to be judged. That’s right – more than 50 shutterbugs joined in the fun. That just amazing.

In addition, one of the members of the group (Clark) brought a great idea to the table – he suggested we put a couple of disposable cameras out in public places and invite people to unleash their creativity and shoot a photo.

We lost a few cameras along the way. That’s to be expected, I suppose. But the ones we got back had some great, great shots. Go here and check out the photos that you took. Check back, because more will be added soon.

And be on the lookout for the Day in the Life of Asheville photo show, which will be up at Pack Memorial Library in coming weeks.

Thanks to everyone who helped get the word out; everyone who participated; everyone who did something really simple and fun: point. shoot. participate.

Super awesome idea. You rock, Ash, as does whoever else thought this up.
