David Hanning and Elena Dimitrievskaya want to start a new business in Black Mountain offering adventure flights over the Blue Ridge Mountains, paragliding flight instruction, and special flights to wounded veterans.
Tandem paragliding–a flight in a a two-person paraglider designed to carry a pilot and passenger–can be used to take inexperienced fliers on a jaunt, or to teach a learning pilot.

Your contributions will enable Dave and Elena to build their business from the ground up, covering the costs of the initial equipment purchases for their training school & tandem business. Included in this campaign funding request are insurance and administrative costs as well as monetary funds for land leases which will enable Pisgah Paragliding to begin offering quality instruction and exceptional tandem flight experiences throughout Appalachian North Carolina in the fall of 2012.

Pisgah Paragliding believes in excellent value for your dollar and in that spirit we have designed our funding campaign to provide you, our supporters, with a quality product based on the dollar amount donated.
Our needs are simple, start up capital that will allow us to organize, purchase the necessary equipment and begin offering flights, instruction and guided tours. Additionally we have a long term vision that includes securing a Forest Service concessionaires permit, reclaiming old forgotten flying sites & growing a safe community of pilots.
