I chilled with my West Asheville homies a couple of days ago and it was cool. There’s a relatively new auto shop on Haywood Road that I’ve noticed, and when I saw a grafitti artist painting a mural on the shop’s wall, I had to stop.

Juan from Atlanta was the artist, doing some neat work. The shop owner, who wasn’t too talkative, was friendly enough to let me hang out. He’s bringing a little West Coast style to the mountains with his “Lowriders” shop, which will bling your ride’s wheels and fix the suspension so you can do some of that Dre and Snoop riding on three wheels and shit like that.

As I was standing around, several other Spanish-speaking folks stopped to watch the wall-writer. They were wearing their LA Dodgers caps and jerseys and had some clean cars.

Just another reason why we love the flava of Ashvegas.
