Here’s the note from loyal reader Jonathan regarding Tastee Diner, which has been around since the mid 1940s:

Tastee Diner will reopen in early June under the new management of Jonathan Robinson and Natalia Rosero. Expect to see some familiar faces behind the counter, but as the neighborhood has changed so will the diner.

Tastee will focus on lunch and dinner with a nod to the old school dairy bar. The menu will be simple; pattied burger, hotdogs with homemade chili, hand cut fries, fried chicken, soft serve ice cream and shakes. The fried chicken will play a big role with pieces, baskets, and buckets available. Unlike your average dairy bar everything will be house made but the buns, and there will be booze.
You can still expect reasonable prices at the Tastee Diner.

Thanks,
Jonathan Robinson
