alayo2014_3The Miss Gay Latina pageant in Asheville is coming up on Saturday, and this year it will feature an incredible dance company from San Francisco that will also hold a separate performance on Friday. Here’s the info on the Alayo Dance Company show:

Gonzalez Diaz Enterprise is please to present the Alayo Dance Company in performance at Diana Wortham Theatre on Friday, Oct. 31, at 8 p.m. The Alayo Dance Company is an award-winning company based in San Francisco, CA who have competed in numerous international festivals and competitions. They perform an innovative fusion of Afro-Cuban modern, folkloric and popular Cuban dance. They eloquently articulate their aesthetic vision through a synthesis of these dance styles citing from each traditions, movements, narratives and concepts indicative of the Cuban culture.

Gonzalez Diaz Enterprise is pleased to present the 7th annual Miss Gay Latina Asheville pageant. The event will once again be held at Diana Wortham Theatre in downtown Asheville, NC on Saturday, Nov. 1, and will begin at 7:30 p.m. Contestants will compete in traditional costume native to their country of representation, talent and evening gown. This promises to be an evening of elegance and beauty, including artistic and cultural presentations. Along with the performances of the contestants, the audience will be entertained by current and former national titleholders, as well as a professional dance company from San Francisco, CA, the Alayo Dance Company.
