‘I can’t stand the rain…’

Local TV weather news goddess Julie Wunder continued to bang away at the notion that this “unstable weather pattern” we’ve been having lately is going to lead to rain sooner or later.

I guess she’s right. If you say it’s going to rain long enough, I guess it will.

The problem is, the local TV news weather readers have been hyping a “total washout” and urging people to “pack your umbrella” because the “bottom was going to fall out” of the weather. Those were the actual words they used. And they’ve been saying this since the start of the big Memorial Day weekend, and all we’ve gotten was one brief shower Saturday night.

As Bulldog so appropriately commented on my earlier post, if I was a local businessman who depended upon an accurate forecast, I’d be pissed.

Wunder warned us Monday. Wunder warned us today. Still no drops. I’ll probably wake up to a soggy morning tomorrow, but that still doesn’t excuse the overblown weather forecasting. All I’m asking for is a relatively accurate prediction here, people.
