Press release here:

I wanted to connect with you regarding the upcoming events at the Black Mountain Ale House. This coming Friday, the Ale House will celebrate the Summer Solstice with a Cookout Celebration featuring Hope Griffin and Blue Rags starting at 7:30 p.m. 20% of all food proceeds from the event will benefit the Black Mountain Town Square Project.

More from loyal reader Jessica, who passed on the press release:

The Black Mountain Town Square Project is a capital campaign to raise funds for a town square. Upon its completion, the Black Mountain Town Square will feature a greenspace, market place, and additional public parking. Landscaping and architecture throughout the square will reflect Black Mountain’s native character through the use of boulders, rocks, native plants, stone walls and timber framing. Rain gardens, pervious surfaces, and solar energy use will maintain the environmental quality of the square. More info can be found in the brochure attached here.

Hope Griffin, originally from Alaska currently lives in Black Mountain. www.hopegriffinmusic.com

Blue Rags is also from Asheville and will feature group leader Abe Reid along with several of the original members.
