First up:

Let’s get West Asheville Covered

Learn how you can get AFFORDABLE HEALTH INSURANCE through the Affordable Care Act

Volunteers from Pisgah Legal Services will be at the Mothlight in West Asheville on Monday March 10th at 8 p.m. to make a short presentation about the Affordable Care Act and what it means for individuals and families.

They’ll explain some of the important sections of the act and how important it is to get covered. Look at how easy it is to learn about the subsidies and cost-sharing that are available and how to apply. Bring your tablet or laptop and follow along, look at the different plans and get an estimate of your subsidy and what your costs and coverage will be. They will also explain exemptions for those who will not have to pay a penalty.

The deadline for signing up for insurance is March 31st. If you are not covered by health insurance this year, you may qualify for an exemption or you may have to pay a penalty next year when you file your taxes for 2014. Find out more at this session.

So come ask questions and we’ll try to help everyone get covered.

And second….

Planned Parenthood thinks that sexual health care is not just a good idea, it’s totally necessary! That’s why they’d like to help you navigate your way through the ins and outs of Obamacare with this special edition of Sex Ed Trivia. You can flex your brain muscles, all while getting the lowdown on both sexual health and health care information.

So, join us for another round of trivia at the Mothlight! Monday March 10th at 9 pm. We’ll have resources and certified healthcare Navigators on hand to help you get the information you need to #GetCovered. Come an hour early at 8pm for an info session on the Affordable Care Act!

Per usual, teams are limited to 5 players. No team is no problem, just get ready to join forces with other sexy, savvy folks.
