Foundation Spot fundraiser Saturday: skateboard films, ramp jam, more

The DIY skateboard park known as The Foundation Spot is holding its first fundraiser of the year on Saturday. The goal is to raise cash to cover costs for building materials as volunteers continue to add to the park’s amenities. The event will be based at PUSH Skate Shop and Asheville Music Hall next door.

Events include a retrospective of 10 years of PUSH skateboard videos, with a ramp jam and live T-shirt printing by Green Light Ink, from 3-6 p.m. at Asheville Music Hall.

Then from 6-9 p.m. at PUSH, there’s a group art show that will include limited Brainstorm/PBR boards with art by Alli Good, before moving back to the Asheville Music Hall with performances by Dj Hillbilly Ocean, DiMarco’s, and @pleasuresoftheultraviolent.
