Folks on Facebook are weighing in after Christi Whitely posted the following:

What would YOU like to see at the old Delores Hose Mina’s space in West Asheville? My friend purchased it and is looking for the perfect fit!

The post has nearly 100 responses, with folks suggesting all kinds of uses, from a movie theater to another restaurant. Here are a few:

British Rover ‎

English Pub Setting sounds GOOD,,with thge information as the ladies have described as Above…One sees alot of these pub settings up North ..I.E Wisconscin, Michigan…Pub is upfront, the kids and family gatherings are located thru a hallway that leads to a back church type family gathering, for food prep and social events, blah, blah, blah

Was I the only person whose head almost exploded with excitement at the prospect of Isis being restored to an actual movie house? I think we also need a community theatre like ACT on this side of town. That space could serve both of those needs.

The property owner also weighed in:

Thanks for all the comments! I am the owner of the property but I am leasing it out. So, its up to a tenant to decide the specifics. Although, I am being picky about the right fit in order to provide someone with a space that will enhance our community and surrounding businesses. After all, I live a block away. Let me know if you might be or know anyone interested. There will be a “for lease” sign up 2day with info. THX.

Guess we’ll wait and see. What would you like to go in there?

Did the new owners kick out Dolores n Joses, or were they even in business lately? I know they have been off and on.

Maybe it’s my own personal taste, but that huge metal fence and gate always seemed uninviting to me.

West Asheville is not a draw like downtown or Biltmore area so I don’t think a retail establishment would work. I like the cheap diner idea, something like Silver Dollar, or perhaps pure vegetarian, sushi, etc.
