HGTV Urban Oasis 2015 home will be on the market April 7th. Asheville real estate firm, Mosaic Community Lifestyle Realty, is excited to announce two weekends of public open houses. The winner of last year’s HGTV Urban Oasis giveaway has decided to sell, and Mosaic Realty is listing the home. The open house events are located at 17 Russell Street in Asheville. Doors will be open from 1:00-5:00 pm on April 16th, 17th, 23rd, and 24th.asheville_urban_oasis_mosaic_1_2016

Last year, the network chose to remodel an existing single-family home in Asheville, a change from its usual new construction and design of apartments in city high-rises. The nearly 100 year old bungalow in the heart of historic West Asheville that they selected is representative of the city’s relaxed and artistic vibe.

The winner of the giveaway, Crystal Harriman of Washington, has decided to sell the home. “It’s a beautiful home, and we love it very much,” she says, “We had a hard time leaving it when we were in Asheville, but it would be really hard to uproot our children and our life.”

This is a rare opportunity for a new buyer to own a home completely remodeled and designed by the poplar network and an A-List Asheville team, including JAG Construction and Wilson Architects. The home, located in the heart of the hip and scenic mountain town of Asheville, comes entirely furnished and designed by designer Brian Patrick Flynn. Flynn curated some of the furnishings and art from local artists and antique stores.

HGTV utilized the expertise of Mike Figura, owner and president of Mosaic Community Lifestyle Realty, to identify a home that was a good fit for the make-over. Mosaic Realty is a boutique real estate firm that specializes in urban, historic, and green homes in Asheville, North Carolina. Figura says, “It was an incredible experience being a part of the process by helping find the HGTV Urban Oasis home for 2015. Now, I am excited to get to list the home for sale and find an owner who appreciates the style and wants to call it home.”

Priority for viewing the home will be given to those who reserve a space. To schedule a time to view the HGTV Urban Oasis 2015 home, please visit http://mymosaicrealty.com/home/17russell/ . Those who have not signed up will be admitted as space allows.

The home, fully furnished, will be listed for $490,000. Mosaic Realty will accept sealed bids from potential buyers through the end of April 24th. For additional information on the sale of the HGTV Urban Oasis home, please contact Mike Figura at (828) 707-9556.

HGTV did a very nice job. I just can’t get over the price tag for only 1322 sq ft and 2 bedrooms. I assumed the basement was finished but, no. Plus it’s a nothing street. It’s not Vermont Ave.

Check out the glam light fixtures in the garage. I predict it sells closer to or under 400K.
