cat_cafe_2015The Asheville nonprofit Brother Wolf Animal Rescue has announced that it has found a “dream spot” for a new cat cafe in Asheville.

Last July Brother Wolf came to the Asheville Downtown Commission seeking a regulation change to allow it to open a business that was half cat adoption center and half coffee shop. Brother Wolf hopes to adopt 500 more cats a year through the downtown cat cafe, the nonprofit’s executive director told the commission. The cat cafe would hold about 20 to 25 cats on any given day, while also serving coffee in a separate but adjacent facility.

Here’s the cat cafe announcement from Brother Wolf:

Breaking News Friends! We believe that this is the news that you crazy cat lovers have been waiting for! Brother Wolf Animal Rescue has found the perfect location for our Cat Cafe! After more than a year searching location after location, we finally have found our dream spot. We are still in the process of doing our due diligence with the property so do not want to officially announce the location just yet BUT knew that there are lots of cat lovers out there who have been waiting a long time for this news. We couldn’t be more excited for our cats as we know that not only will they be so much happier to have an adoption center of their own, but it will allow us to increase the number of cats we adopt out which = more lives saved! We will keep y’all posted as the details unfold. Asheville is SO ready for this and we can’t wait for our dream to come to fruition. Thanks for all of your support! ‪#‎CatCafeAsheville‬ ‪#‎NoKillCommunity‬

So, anyone have an idea as to where Brother Wolf is looking to open its cat cafe?

Will the cats they serve be raised organically? I hate the taste of cats that have been fed commercial cat feed.
