The Blind Pig Supper Club, founded my Mike and Darlene Moore six years ago, has launched an indiegogo crowdfunding campaign seeking $25,000 to buy some new mobile equipment to help them improve and expand their culinary events. These guys do great work. Consider supporting them. Here’s more from the fundraising page:

The business was founded by Chef Mike and Darlene Moore in 2011 and registered as a licensed S Corp and eventually a N.C. LLC in 2015. The Blind Pig Supper Club is a network of creative and independent chefs which collaborate together to produce amazing culinary events for its members. It gives continued awareness and financial support to local charitable causes. We have helped bring the food and beverage scene closer together and we continue our work in other parts of this great state. Along with producing creative and memorable meal experiences which bring folks together, we have proudly served and supported our community in many dynamic ways.

The Blind Pig Supper Club has cooked with over sixty five reputable chefs within our expansive network and produced over one hundred tasting menu experiences which have helped raise the bar of standards within our local food scene. These unique dinner events have supported local farmers and food producers, spotlighted local cooking talent, introduced chefs, authors, and talents from other cities and supported our local community financially with charitable donations. We are proud to make our locale a better place. We believe strongly in personal connections as well as collaborations and taking care of one another within the beautiful place in which we live.

Our Goal
It is our goal in 2017 to expand our services and to acquire essential equipment which begin our long term goals in the creation of a community based commissary kitchen. This campaign is focused on reducing our overall financial production costs and helping us to diversify and expand our services. This capital campaign is financially important to ensure that we continue to grow and meet our long term goals to become a reputable network and service which connects statewide. Your financial support as a contributor can help us continue our passionate work to build a network within our chef community and grow as a grassroots company.

Promoting the consumption of animal products is a death sentence for the environment, killing the planet with every bite. I hope people will read this and look at the facts with an open mind.
