We asked you for the area’s best Christmas displays in local yards. And you told us.
Here’s our 2012 readers’ picks for getting a little Christmas spirit:
From Melissa Lane, a don’t-miss yard on Craggy Street in Black Mountain has lights synched to a Rihanna tune:
From Dusty Allison: Of course, the house on Brevard Rd. in West Asheville at the junction with Morris.
From Bruce Smith: West asheville Riverview dr . Cute big multi color lights. Simple and tasteful. lights in garland and wreaths and fresh garlands around the door and a very cool old snowman in the yard with a Charlie Brown tree
From Tim Stellar: Drive up Baird cove lane in woodfin. You can’t miss it.
From Renee Huff Urban: New Leicester Highway, on your left before the turn on to old county home rd.
From Lena Richards: Sand hill road, heading toward sardis road. Right before biltmore commons condos, on the left.
From Heather: There is a beautiful house in Biltmore Park, closer to Overlook Rd, I think off of Red Fox Cir. that has a classy look with the entire house outlined in clear lights! It was the best I saw in South Asheville.
From Charles Sloan: Across the street from 150 North Griffing Boulevard; up the hill from the Rose Garden off Kimberly in North Asheville. Shooting Stars up in the trees.
From Traci Crawford McConnell: The Taylor’s in Weaverville off Boyd Chapel Rd. (Jennifer’s note: I hear that’s a good one!)
From Laura Poff: My brother in Weaverville says on Monticello Rd (off the Lowe’s exit, turn Left) there’s a house that looks like Clark Griswold’s from Christmas Vacation. If I wasn’t working almost every day this month, I’d make the drive up the mountain and check it out myself!
From Melissa Lane: Fox House Lights http://foxhouselights.homestead.com
From Trisha Lilly Moser: Teague Dr. In Leicester! Kind of far out here, but totally worth it.
Anybody else got any suggestions, or great pics/videos of great local Christmas light displays?
