Here’s more of what’s going around, including a report that Buncombe County is the most “intoxicated and disruptive” in the state:

-The body of the Rev. Billy Graham is lying in repose at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte today and tomorrow as thousands of people, including former presidents, line up to pay their respects. Graham’s body will lie in honor at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda on Wednesday and Thursday before being returned to Charlotte for a Friday funeral.

-Magician David Blaine is set to perform at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium on June 23. Tickets go on sale Tuesday.

-Buncombe County had the most people of any county in the state charged with being intoxicated and disruptive in 2017, according to a Raleigh News & Observer report.

-Asheville poet, writer and journalist Alli Marshall has been named the 2018 UNC Asheville Ramsey Library Community Author Award, according to a press release. The award provides a writer in Western North Carolina with a yearlong residency in UNC Asheville’s Ramsey Library, with a courtesy faculty appointment that provides a library study carrel and other campus resources, according to a press release. The residency will run through December 2018, and will culminate in an opportunity for Marshall, the arts and entertainment editor at Mountain Xpress, to showcase her work at a campus reading.

-The Asheville Tourists will hold public auditions on March 17 for National Anthem singers.

-The city of Asheville has launched an online portal for developers to file applications.

-In case you missed it, Paul D’Angelo, chairman of the Cape Fear Housing Coalition, has accepted the job of affordable housing development specialist for the city of Asheville, wilmingtonbiz.com reports.

-In case you missed it, New Belgium Brewing has announced that the annual RiverMusic concert series will be held on the New Belgium lawn this year. The dates are: Friday, June 8; Friday July 6; Friday, Sept. 7;  and Saturday, August 18. The nonprofit RiverLink sponsors RiverMusic.
