North Carolina Wine GiftsCongrats! Press release here:

North Carolina Wine Gifts is celebrating its first anniversary as the only online wine store and club for NC’s award winning boutique wines and wineries. Located in Asheville, NC Wine Gifts is the only online wine store and wine club dedicated to promoting North Carolina’s boutique wineries. Over thirty wineries from across the state have been featured over the past 12 months in the online store and wine club selections.

All of the wines offered through the NC Wine Gifts & Club are wines from grapes that were grown and processed in North Carolina, and have been tasted by a professional advisory panel which includes wine judges, journalists, vignerons, and a sommelier. Each quarterly wine club selection includes 3 or 6 bottles representing different wines and wineries to provide a taste of the wide variety of quality wines available in North Carolina.

North Carolina has a rich history of producing popular wine. Until prohibition, NC was the oldest and largest wine producing state in the United States. Today North Carolina is re-emerging as one of country’s the fastest developing wine regions, and has expanded into producing a wide array of fine varietals as well as the native Muscadine wines. The NC Wine Gifts web site includes information on the wines and winemakers, the history of NC wine and ideas and resources for exploring NC wine country.

“We are excited to help people discover the great wines that are now being made here in North Carolina,” said Deborah Halpern, president of North Carolina Wine Gifts. “And an online wine store and club provides the convenience of a winery tasting room delivered to your door.”

Since the web site went live one year ago, North Carolina Wine Gifts has created a reputation in the marketplace by providing for the first time many of the state’s finest boutique wines to individuals and business clients throughout the state.
