From Asheville Citizen-Times reporter/columnist/blogger Carol Motsinger, on Asheville REI’s zombie apocalypse survivor training:

Here are all the gory details. Hope to see you there!

Are you ready to survive a zombie apocalypse?
It’s zombie season at REI, and we can help prepare you for frightening encounters with the horde via our zombie infographic and our in-store zombie preparedness classes. The good news is that our classes are not only a fun way to get ready for zombies, they are even more useful for other disasters such as earthquakes and major storms.
Join us as we make emergency preparedness a treat rather than a chore. To sign up online, go to your local REI store page. Note: Many classes are already full, but you can put your name on the wait list for any last-minute spots that open up. Most classes begin at 7pm, but be sure to check your store’s schedule for the start time.

The Asheville training session is set for Oct. 30 at REI in Biltmore Park.
