Hi Jason!

The new Asheville Art Family website www.AshevilleArtFamily.com is now live. We have been working on many exciting local projects over the past few years, please take a moment to check it out.

We specialize in Art Direction, Graphic Design, Illustration, Advertising, Merchandise, Fine Art and Photography. Asheville Art Family has represented over 250 clients from Film & Television to Magazines, Record Labels, Independent Musicians & Artists, Restaurants, Farms, Tourism, Book Publishers, Comics and Board Games. We have shown our fine art at galleries in New York City, New Jersey, Florida, New Mexico and local galleries including: ZaPow, The Satellite Gallery and Forever Tattoo. We take pride in collaborating with local businesses, vendors, shops and galleries. We work with the best local copywriters, printers, hair & make-up, catering and freelancers to create everything from award-winning album packages and theatrical posters to photo shoots. We treat each client as they are friends and family. Small independent companies receive the same attention as big corporations. Joshua Marc Levy, 423 heads the Graphic Design & Illustration side of our business, and Amy Kalyn Sims runs the Photography, often collaborating together on many projects. Josh & Amy work and live together with their son in Asheville.

What’s New?

The illustrated album package & campaign for local band The Broadcast, including tour poster and website skin, was a lot of fun for us. The “Dodge The Arrow” album release party will be at The Grey Eagle on September 27th. Other local bands we have recently worked with include The Fritz (Album packaging, tour & gig posters and updated logo) & Velvet Truckstop (Album packaging and poster). Although we have many top bands in our portfolio such as AC/DC and The Black Crowes, we really love working with Independent and local artists.Asheville Food: West End Bakery
Amy just photographed the newly released book Asheville Food: A History of High Country Cuisine, which tells the story of how hippie farmers and visionary chefs came together to make Asheville a foodie’s dream. (Please see attached images) The book, written by Asheville’s Rick McDaniel, is 128 pages of history, profiles of Asheville’s hottest chefs, and the farmers who make all that awesome food possible. Food photography by Amy Kalyn Sims brings the innovative cuisine to life, and makes this book a must have for locals, tourists, food lovers and small farm animals alike. We have several signed copies of the book available in our online store: www.etsy.com/shop/AshevilleArtFamily

Other local and recent projects include photography and logo design for the Asheville Yoga Center, and an entire merchandise campaign for The Band Of Heathens who are releasing their new album Sunday Morning Record.

The “Rock Art Show” at ZaPow is still up and will be for a few more weeks. I highly recommend checking out this eclectic rock art exhibit which we are proudly a part of. We will also be showing our fine artwork and photography at The Over Easy Cafe, one of our food photography clients, all October. Stop in and grab some breakfast while checking out our art.
