The Downtown Asheville Facebook page shared a great poll today:

Other suggestions include the a la carte menu at El Que Pasa/Papas & Beer, the Earth Fare/Greenlife hot bar, Mayfel’s gumbo, Heiwa lunch box, soup and a spring roll at the Noodle Shop, Urban Burrito black bean burrito…

What’d we miss? Where can you eat lunch for $5 in Asheville?

On Tuesdays, get a fresh Sweet Monkey bagel ($2.50) at the tailgate market, then walk across the street to West Village Deli and get a quarter-pound of their rosemary chicken salad ($2.50). Apply chicken salad to bagel.

The supreme slice at Standard is $4.25, including tax. It’s a mountain.

Also, mac & cheese ($2.50) with grilled veggies ($2.50) or a brat ($5.00) or little cheeseburger ($4.75) at The Walk.
